Lash Out!
I may not be a huge fan of Katy Perry’s music (don’t hate, to each their own!) but girl sure knows how to rock some false lashes. Unlike me who only recently achieved lash applying success on a repeated basis. I can only speak for myself, but it ain’t easy folks! Fear not my false lash wannabe friends, it can be done! Please don’t misunderstand my intentions though. I’m just saying they’re fun to play with. No one needs to wear false lashes, it’s a choice. By all means, rock the lashes your mama gave you! They’re beautiful after all. I don’t wear false lashes everyday. I apply them on special occasions when I really want to glam up my makeup look. They really are the perfect way to finish a flawless eye makeup application. So if you’re game, give them a try!
Since I’m no master at the application yet, I figured the best way to educate you would be to share how I educated myself. I met the most AMAZINGย makeup artist from my home province of P.E.I. She came with rave reviews so I booked her immediately for my wedding that has now just passed. Not only is she insanely talented but she’s friendly and so much fun to be around. I don’t have any detailed makeup shots from my wedding yet otherwise I’d post them, but she did the most phenomenal job on me, my MOH and my Mom making it look effortless and bringing out all of our natural beauty. Her name is Michelle Cudmore and I highly recommend you use her if you’re needing professional makeup application on the island. She also films amazing youtube videos and tutorials (she can be found atย http://www.youtube.com/user/PEImakeupartist), which is where I learned my lash applying techniques. She created a step by step false lashes guide that in my opinion blows all other false lash tips out of the water. For that and all her other amazing videos, thank you Michelle!
Check out the false lashes video below and join my awe of how easy she helps make it for us.

I agree Michelle is talented and so easy to work with. She makes you feel so comfortable. I loved wearing the false eyelashes. Finally had eyelashes you could see.
Thanks for the info on how to apply them. I had forgotten.

so… where do you get these fake lashes? i’d like to try them sometime ๐ and you put them on AFTER all the rest of your eye makeup… right?

You can get them lots of places. In PEI I’d try the beauty section at Shoppers and Walmart. I know Quo does make some. If you can’t find any you can order them online from Sephora or MAC I’m sure. They come in many shapes and sizes. It’s all personal preference ๐ You’ll need adhesive too. My favourite adhesive is DUO. It works really well. And yes, finish your eye makeup and put the lashes on last. Once the lashes are on I usually then touch up my eyeshadow and liner, making sure it’s all tidy.
