Icy Winter Eyes with Make Up For Ever
Make Up For Ever is one of my go to cosmetic brands because whether it’s a new gloss, lipstick or compact I know I’m getting designer quality beauty products, but not designer prices. A lover of all things beauty I’m always bouncing around trying new things, which can sometimes lead to disappointment. I don’t mind investing money in products that I genuinely love that deliver high performance and that’s why Make Up For Ever never fails and keeps me coming back for more.
The limited edition holiday Midnight Glow Palette features icy shadows that give me chills— pun intended. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m naturally more drawn to warm brown shadows than the cooler tone alternative, but this palette is most definitely the exception for me. Don’t be fooled by the shadow visually appearing blue. It’s incredibly subtle and casts a seasonally appropriate icy shine vs. the 80’s rocker chic vibe that’s no longer in fashion. The palette also includes icy pink options for the girl who prefers warmer frosty blush shades and two matte shadows perfect for adding dimension.
From left to right, shadows included are Snow White, Gun Metal, Icy Blue, Icy Pink, Matte Black, Gold Pink, Midnight Purple and Metallic Taupe. In the featured look I used Snow White to highlight under my brows, the inside corners of my eyes and lower lash line, Icy Blue all over the lid, Gun Metal in the crease and a touch of Matte Black in the outer crease to accentuate the Gun Metal shadow and add extra dimension. And with that a brown tone shadow junkie has opened her eyes to the endless possibilities this icy shadow palette has to offer.
