Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hearts
About a month ago I saw a pin on pinterest that I knew I had to try, and with Valentine’s Day coming up there’s no time like the present. It was pretty simple and a lot of fun, aside from the decorative white chocolate refusing to melt seamlessly. Lucky for me third time was a charm. I don’t claim to be a professional in the kitchen, it’s just a hobby that I enjoy. I think my chocolate covered strawberry hearts turned out great, but I’ll be the first to admit they’re not perfect. Perfection isn’t always the end goal. It’s about trying something new and accepting a flaw here and there. Flaw or not, the end result tastes delicious.
What You’ll Need
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 bag white chocolate chips
Red Food Colouring
Note: I added a pale pink drizzle made from white chocolate and red food colouring to add a decorative finishing touch. Simply place the pale pink chocolate in a ziplock bag and cut one of the corners for drizzling.
