Celebrity Style

All right, all right! I know Halloween was yesterday BUT I did just launch my blog today AND many Halloween photos are just now popping up in that thing we call the world wide web. Now, I’m not a die hard Halloween fan, which truly makes no sense. You’d think I’d jump at the chance to get all decked out and try fun looks, (maybe next year!) however, I can appreciate a good costume and the creativity and imagination behind developing one that will surprise your friends or make people laugh.

Celebrities love a good party! Halloween is no exception and this year there were so many to choose from. My favourite, you ask? (or not ask for that matter…) Hands down, Ellen Degeneres as Sofia Vergara in her award show wardrobe malfunction dress. Not only was the costume hilarious, but her over the top impersonation was so cute and Sofia showing up was just the tip of the iceberg. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ellen wear that much makeup in my life. The other contenders? Members of the Glee cast, by no surprise, nailed it for Matthew Morrison’s Halloween/Birthday party. Matthew and date Renee Puente showed up as Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears circa their 2001 MTV Music Video Awards appearance, while Chord Overstreet donned a wig on his head (and face) poking fun at Brad Pitt’s new Chanel No.5 ad campaign (the ads do seem odd, no?). Naya Rivera was uber creative donning what I believe to be a home-made road runner costume and dreamboat Darren Criss (I love me some Darren Criss…swoon) was cute as a button dressed as Sam from Moonrise Kingdom.

There are many many more honourable mentions in the quest for the best celebrity costume this year. Check out my montage below to check out the above mentioned and more! Thirsty for more? Google celebrity Halloween costumes 2012 and enjoy! And yes, you caught me. Kelly Ripa hasn’t had her Halloween show yet due to the extremely sad and devastating hurricane in NYC, but her costumes are epic year after year so I wanted to include her (seen below in 2010 as Lady Gaga).

What were your fave costumes this year? Celebs or not, do tell!
